Sundays
9:00 AM & 10:30 AM - Worship Service (33 SW 3rd) + Children's classes (216 W. Bond) available during this service.
These buildings are on the same block, and our Children's Ministry building has brand new security, including a security team, cameras and restricted, safe areas for the kids.
Our Children's Ministry Team would love to help make the sign-in process for you and your kids as easy and exciting as possible, so please don't hesitate to ask questions. And if you know you're coming during the week, contact Vickie at [email protected] and we will help you plan and pre-register for your visit.
We also have Adult Small Groups that meet during Sunday mornings, and throughout the week. Our small groups are for people who attend each week. They meet one week during the service they do not attend, and then serve the following week at the service they do not attend. If you are interested in connecting in a small group, let one of the staff or the person in the Response Room know and we will introduce you to a couple of the small group facilitators.
What you can expect in the worship services?
Our two morning worship services are in the auditorium of the 33 SW 3rd building, and have the same flow, content and people leading.
We worship (sing) to modern songs and well done hymns, with a full band (drums, guitars, keys, vocalists). Some people worship with their hands raised and clap, and others are more reserved. Our worship is a celebration of who God and Jesus are, what They have done and are doing in our lives and part of how God changes us.
We celebrate communion (or the Lord's Supper) every Sunday. We each take a small piece of bread and a small cup with grape juice in it to remember the remember Jesus' body being broken and His blood being poured out for our sins, and to proclaim that He is coming back one day for His people. We remember that God loves us, that Jesus lived a sinless life for us and then died for us, was brought back to life after 3 days by God and is one day coming back to take us to be with Him and His Father, God. Christians use this time to reflect on how we have been living with God and others. When we haven't been living well with either, or both, we repent before we take it. If you are not a disciple of Jesus, please feel free to observe during this time, and maybe even use the time to ask God to speak to you.
Our offerings are collected digitally, in the black boxes on either side of the auditorium doorway as you leave, and through the mail. We believe giving is one of the acts of worship of every disciple of Jesus. As a guest, feel free to participate or not as you feel led. We have no expectation that you will give, but love to partner with whoever we can to help more people meet Jesus and encounter God's love and grace.
We have about a 35-minute sermon that focuses on a Bible passage or Bible theme and what it reveals about God and what it reveals about us. We try to help make application to every day life each week so it is more than just information for information's sake. We use humor, stories, illustrations and anything else that helps us stay focused and lean in to what God has revealed through the Bible. You don't personally have to believe the Bible to get something out of this time, but it is important to know that we do believe the Bible and use it as the source for what we are talking about each week. If something comes up in the sermon that you have questions about, feel free to followup with us. We would LOVE the chance to help you process what you heard. We won't try to make you agree with us, but we will try to help you see what we are talking about from a Christian perspective.
We normally close with an opportunity for people to respond to the sermon in worship. All whole service is usually about 70 minutes long.
We have a Response Room available every Sunday in the middle classroom for anyone who wants to use it at any time. We staff the room with elders/pastors and their wives. You can head back at any time to make a decision for Jesus, be prayed over or just talk with someone.
